Quality is good. It shines bright enough to see small details near. Regular batteries are mediocre, with a capacity of about 1000 mAh (probably Buryats put into it a single-forming factor). All in a row 18650 batteries will not fit because that not all batteries have a piptic of Plus contact as in regular batteries. This pain is treated (or a thin calculation of the manufacturer) bending the copper plus contact of the flashlight to contact the flat plus pole of the battery. What about the presence of competent electronics in the flashlight to keep the battery from overdischarge and overcharge (when charging through the cord is) I can’t say anything. For not having batteries with protection of the molding factor 18700, I can not say whether it will fit into the lantern. The flashlight can work from one battery. I advise this lantern to buy? More like Yes than No. But to charge batteries would recommend in a competent charger and not allow overdischarge.
